I am the craftiest daughter of a very crafty mother. She taught me a lot of crafty basics when I was young. In k-12, I used to get in trouble for drawing on my schoolwork. Later on I picked up a paintbrush and taught myself how to paint. For a brief period in college, I played with a computer based paper doll program (kisekae) and I got quite handy with a mouse. Today, I use my chronic doodling habit to develop cross stitch and embroidery patterns.
I'm taking a break from designing patterns to work on a crazy quilt project. There are several new embroidery designs that I'm developing for this project. When it's done, I will work on publishing them as patterns here.

This Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch was used by King Arthur to defeat the Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog during his quest for the Holy Grail. For reference see the Monty Python film adaptation of this age old story.
Alternatively, if you have a fondness for Britain's crown jewels, simply leave the lettering off for a nice Sovereign's Orb
This pattern file comes in three sizes: 10 inches tall, 7 inches tall, and 5 inches tall. The photos you see here are the 7 inch tall pattern.
Given that this pattern is inspired by a movie and not born solely from my own imagination, it will always be free for use by anyone and is expressly for personal and nonprofit use.
