small skill level requirement Beginner

Pattern Description:

Inspired by all the scrappy hearts being made, I decided to do a spin on it and stitch something up. This is a quick and fun project!

Pattern includes one pattern piece that works for either design: cross stitch the surrounding heart, or the inside. With care you can use the pattern over and over again. Also included are step by step instructions. There are at this time no pictures included.

I DO have a full picture tutorial on my blog, including helpful tips: http://fromblankpages.blogspot.com/2013/02/heart-art-oversized-cross-stitch.html

For personal use only. I hope you'll share with me what you make! Thanks for using my patterns!! :)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • a 6" hoop design
  • or a 4" x 3.5" heart in a square
  • or a 3" x 2.6" heart

  • fabric - about 8" x 8" piece will be enough
  • variegated embroidery floss - one to two skeins depending on how many strands you use.

You Will Also Need:

  • stabilizer - I used Stick and Wash by Pellon
  • needle - a thicker one works best
  • 6" hoop
