The Have a Hoot / Vintage Inspired Embroidery and Cushion Pattern will help you to make a fun, easy project with great retro style! It's perfect for a modern nursery, a home with mid-century flair, or for anyone who loves owls.

This two-for-one, 16 page pattern includes complete instructions for making both the "Have a Hoot" owl embroidery project (so cute!) as well as the simple-to-piece sawtooth star cushion cover. Combine them into one project (as shown) or stitch them up separately, it's up to you!

Included with this pattern are over 6 pages of additional detailed resources and guides--including a fully illustrated stitch library--making this pattern perfect for beginners and advanced stitchers alike.

Good to Know:

-Embroidery pattern can be scaled to fit your project. The pattern includes two sizes to get started, plus reverse images of both.

-Detailed color and stitch guides included, along with a fully illustrated library of suggested embroidery stitches.

-Finished cushion cover project is made to fit a 20" x 20" pillow form and features an easy to sew envelope enclosure on the back.

-Pattern contains detailed project instructions with clear sewing diagrams.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • The embroidery pattern includes two sizes with reverse images of both, and can also be scaled to fit any project using your print settings
  • The quilted cushion project fits a 20" x 20" pillow form

Materials:

  • An assortment of perle cotton or embroidery floss (a suggested color guide of 12 colors is included with the pattern)
  • 1 1/2 yards of fabric--(1) 1yard cut plus (2) quarter yard cuts-- for the quilted cushion project
  • Batting, muslin, lightweight woven interfacing, 20" x 20" pillow form, and a small piece of binding tape (for the envelope closure) for the quilted cushion project

You Will Also Need:

  • Other Basic embroidery supplies (needles, material to stitch on, hoop, transfer pens, etc...)
  • Other Basic machine sewing supplies (thread, scissors or rotary cutter/ mat, sewing machine, etc...)
  • A walking foot is helpful, but not required
