Pattern Description:

It's Halloween, and what better way to celebrate than by decorating with some classic haunted house designs? To make your own house a bit spookier this season, we present six Halloweeny things for you to stitch: a not-so-scary ghost (who can be outlined in glow-in-the-dark floss for a bit more fun--see the picture), a coffin with an awakening occupant, a festive jack-o-lantern, a tombstone with a bit of its owner not altogether where they should be, a rather bloodshot eyeball, and a skull being used as a rather gruesome candle-holder.

This Halloween Haunted House pattern is 13 pages long and includes details on colors and stitches used in the example embroidery. It also has two views of the pattern itself: the original direction and a reversed direction, making it easy to choose which way you want the design to be oriented regardless of which transfer method you prefer. Also included are instructions on all of the stitches used in the sample. Straight off the printer, the full pattern measures about 8" long x 6" wide (including all 6 designs), but it can easily be scaled up or down with your computer or copier.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • as printed, all 6 designs about 8" x 6"

Materials:

  • fabric
  • transfer pencil or other transfer method
  • embroidery floss
  • sharp scissors
