Pattern Description:

Dish towel designs featuring the days of the week were a favorite motif from the late 1920s through the 1940s. Decorated with endearing embroidered drawings and appliqud details. This collection features daily events - laundry, ironing, sewing, grocery shopping, cleaning, cooking and prayer. The designs are approximately 6" wide x 9" tall and can be use for an assortment of applications. A perfect hostess gift or house warming gift! Please note that pattern does not come with iron-on transfers. Designs must be transferred by hand.

Materials:

  • Seven cotton dish towels approximately 18" x 28" (Vintage or New)
  • 1/4 yard red checked cotton fabric for appliqu pieces
  • 1/4 yard nonwoven iron-on interfacing
  • DMC embroidery floss in the following colors: #221 Dark Red #304 Bright Red #356 Rust #310 Black #322 Dark Blue #813 Light Blue #368 Light Green #935 Dark Green #3021 Dark Brown #613 Light Tan #676 Light Gold #729 Dark Gold
  • Embroidery needle
  • Freezer paper for tracing appliqu pattern pieces
  • OPTIONAL: Embroidery hoop
