Limited time special for St. Patrick's Day - $2.00 off!
I love Blackwork or Backstitch designs because they can be completed so quickly with few or no color changes. They are a great take-along project when traveling because they require so few supplies, all of which are readily available in any craft or hobby store.
These are great designs for beginners, as only one type of stitch is required. If you mark the center of your stitching fabric, and work your stitching from the center out, it will be very easy to follow the chart and keep your place, and ensure that your design will always be perfectly centered on your fabric.

When I was about five, my grandmother pinned the edge of a dishtowel to my skirt to hold it taut while I embroidered my initials. When I finished stitching, I discovered I'd stitched the towel to my skirt. Oh well. It did not deter me from having many adventures as I tried all types of needle crafts, but I always seem to return to my favorite, counted-thread embroidery.
I hope you'll enjoy ...
