  • prepare a basic C10 division Temari ball

Pattern Description:

Hi!

This traditional Japanese Temari is just a delight to stitch!

Parades of little Ladybirds dance around the ball, between the flowers - very spring or summerish!

The design involves creating a basic C10 ball and then further dividing it to create - wait for it - 122 poles!! Don't panic! - full and detailed instructions are given. Your initial division does have to be as accurate as possible though, for the rest to look just right, so some C10 experience is advised.

The design elements are easy to stitch once you get past the dividing and are really fun to do. You can create a really jazzy flower garden with lots of different bright colours, or a gentle cottage garden with just a few pastel shades, like the pic - your choice!

Happy stitching!

Materials:

  • C10 division ball, plain sewing thread (any 2 colours), metallic green thread,, embroidery threads of your choice, pins, long needle.
