Pattern Description:

How she came to be: my friend asked me to make five different amigurumi Disney Princess dolls for her five daughters. Sleeping Beauty is the favorite princess of one of her girls because her favorite color is pink--or you can make her in blue as easy as "bippity boppity boo!"

Something that sets this pattern apart: I wanted to give the Disney princesses the Japanese kawaii, big-head look, with super-cute face details. I also designed the hair to be fast and easy to crochet because I detest the tedium of knotting individual strands of hair all over a doll's head!

Gauge:

With E hook, 10 sc x 10 rows=2 square inches

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

5 1/2 inches (15 cm) tall and 3 inches (8 cm) wide at base

Materials:

E/3.5 mm hook and F/3.75mm hook
(2) 9mm black plastic post eyes with safety backing
About 8 inches red 6-strand embroidery floss or Perle cotton
Embroidery needle
Yarn needle
Large-headed pins
Scissors
Polyester fiberfill, about 2 or 3 handfuls
About 1/2 cup plastic pellets or dry beans for weight
Nylon stocking or 8-inch-square stretchy mesh for encasing pellets
Worsted weight 100% acrylic yarn in cream, white, gold, yellow, light pink and dark pink
