  • Chain, single crochet, single crochet decrease, half double crochet, slip stitch

Pattern Description:

My Not so Scary Scarecrow is the second in my 13 Days of Halloween series.
This cute scarecrow would be fun to hang around with throughout fall - not just Halloween! You can add him to a wreath or make him the focal point to a fall center piece for you table!

This pattern is very quick to create and assemble. He's also super easy! Clear instructions will have you making scarecrows for everyone you know!


Gauge is not critical for this project, however
the tighter you crochet, the less stuffing you
will see through your stitches.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 9" tall


  • 1 oz yarn for head, hands, feet
  • 1 oz yarn for pants
  • 1/2 oz yarn for shirt
  • 1/2 oz yarn for hat
  • small amounts of yarn for patch, straw hair and mouth

You Will Also Need:

  • Size G/4mm crochet hook
  • stuffing
  • 12mm safety eyes - or buttons
  • stitch markers
  • row counter (optional)
