Crochet Mrs Santa for your collection, or to use as a decoration. She's 5-way jointed, with a cotter pin and disk neck joint, and thread-jointed arms and legs. Crocheted from two strands of embroidery punch thread held together (or one strand of baby weight yarn) and a size 6 hook, she is 5-1/2 inches tall. The punch thread is perfect for making her, because it can be brushed up to look like hair and fur. You may, however, use other threads of your choice with the appropriate size of hook. Mohair yarn in a sport weight would be nice for the fur trim.
Mrs Santa's clothes are incorporated into the design, and are not removable, except for her apron.
The pattern booklet has 16 pages of instructions and photos, including color photos of the finished doll.
Gage is not an issue as long as the same size hook and thread are used for all pattern pieces. When making 2 pieces that must be the same size, such as arms and legs, I recommend that you make both pieces in one sitting.

I am passionate about crochet. I enjoy knitting too, but it goes much slower than crochet, and I prefer instant gratification! Actually, I don’t think I've ever met a craft that I didn’t like, from cross-stitch to folk painting to jewelry making, but I always come back to crochet.

I'm a southern girl - born in Alabama and raised on 3 continents. Daughter and wife of military men, I've lived in Morocco, Taiwan, Germany, and South Korea. I currently live in the Texas Hill Country with my much loved DH and two miniature schnauzers, Max and Beau. Retired from Federal Service, I can now crochet to my heart's content!
