Pattern Description:
I designed this pattern in 2007, when Barack Obama, John McCain and Hillary Clinton were running for President of the United States. I made dolls of all three, but this was the only one that I published as a pattern. He's more popular now that he's been re-elected than he was 4 years ago!
This doll, made to resemble President Barack Obama, is crocheted in the round, using mostly single crochet. I use Red Heart yarn, and a size G hook, and his finished size is around 9 1/2 inches (approximately the size of a Barbie doll.)
Amigurumi is a Japanese word loosely meaning to knit or crochet in the round.
