Pattern Description:

I am going to show my age here... but when I was younger the big thing was pompom creatures. They were glued to a sticker so that you could sticker them on to things. They had googly eyes and were just silly.

I wanted to design a silly frog that kind of reminded me of those pompom things.

Leap Frog is a cute, quick pattern and is great for using up scrap yarn! They're great for little fingers to hold on to - and yes, you could put a rattle, bell, etc inside of them if you wanted to....

There is no gauge given however the tighter your stitches, the less stuffing will show through. If you can see air between your stitches, use a smaller hook.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 2/12" tall, 4" wide when made with worsted weight yarn


  • 1/2 oz yarn - main color
  • small amounts of yarn for eyes

  • Size G hook
