Pattern Description:

This is Rosie, an adorable hippo always looking for fun! Rosie measures about 6 inches in a DK yarn, but she can be made from any weight yarn and appropriate hook for different sizes. It is an easy pattern to follow with plenty of diagrams and you will always be welcome to contact me for any extra help.
This pattern file contains the patterns for both US and UK Terminology, Please be careful to only print out the pages for the version you require.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Rosie measures about 6 inches in a DK yarn


  • 100g ball DK weight yarn in Main Colour
  • 3.5mm (E) Crochet hook
  • 3.25mm (D) Crochet hook (for crochet eyes only)
  • Small amount of black and coloured yarn (for crochet eyes option) or
  • 2 x 20mm Safety eyes
  • Toy filling

From someone who designs patterns as well- I bought this pattern because I had a friend's baby shower coming up quickly and didn't figure I had the time to come up with something on my own. I was very happy with my purchase. Pattern was easy to follow and yielded the cutest hippo ami I've seen. Would buy from this designer again.
