Ghalya Doll

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • crochet
  • increase
  • decrease
  • work in the round

Pattern Description:

Ghalya Doll was inspired my daughter. She is six and loves changing her outfit a hundred times a day. I wanted to design a doll that can have removable outfits so I could knit, sew or crochet different outfits for her. She is customizable, you can use different colors for the hair, and add as many accessories as you would like. The whole idea is to be creative and think of the doll as a blank canvas.

The pattern includes a photo tutorial for the hair. Two dress patterns are also included in the pattern, one is knit and the other is crocheted. Both dresses are made using fingering (sock yarn) so the fabric isn't too thick.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 8.6 inches /22 cm

  • 123 yards dk yarn
  • 50 yards fingering weight (for dress)
  • scrap yarn for hair
  • craft wire
  • black yarn or safety eyes

You Will Also Need:

  • tapestry needle
  • stitch markers

Suggested yarn:

123 yards of DK weight
