Looking for a simple and free crochet owl pattern?
This amigurumi owl was inspired by a sewing version. It had a triangular flap of material that went over the top to form the beak.
You can find that pattern at MoonStitches.
Definition of Amigurumi: Crocheted in the round
I designed this simple amigurmi pattern with little sewing up as possible. In fact there is only One seam. You sew the top flap to the front (just like in the sewing pattern) in order to make the beak.
You can add whatever details you'd like to make this owl YOURS.
I hot glued google eyes, little crochet wings, crocheted talons and [because I had it at the time] a maple leaf nose. (I now add a felt nose)
Not necessary for this pattern
I always enjoyed crafts growing up but it wasn't until 1999 that I really started to get obsessed with all things craft.
I first learned to crochet, then I learned knitting and recently I fell in love with spinning on a drop spindle.
