Pattern Description:

Includes one PDF file on 22 pages with all the instructions needed to make your own little doll with a dress, jacket, boots and hat. All clothes are sewn to the body.

Pattern is written in English, using US crochet terminology. I included detailed instructions, many step-by-step photos and useful tips and tricks.

In this tutorial I will explain starting a piece with an adjustable loop (magic ring), starting an oval piece with a chain, changing yarn, back post single crochet and front post double crochet stitches, finishing a piece, joining pieces, knotting and hiding yarn tails. Pattern includes unlimited support from me via email.

You can use the same pattern to make smaller or larger toys by using finer or bulkier yarns. Make sure to pick a crochet hook at least a size smaller than suggested on the yarn label and crochet tightly enough to achieve a tight gauge that will not allow the stuffing to show through the fabric.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 28 cm (11") tall, with DK weight cotton yarn and 2,25 mm and 3,50 mm crochet hooks.

  • Yarn. I used DK weight cotton yarn, 95 m = 50 g (107 yds = 50 g) / 10 ply / 9 wpi. You will need about 55 g of beige, 40 g of white, 20 g of gray, 20 g of pink, 8 g of black and 15 g of DK weight alpaca yarn.
  • 2,25 - 2,75 mm and 3,50 - 4,00 mm crochet hooks (US size 1/B - 2/C and 4/E - 6/G) or according to the yarn.
  • Polyester fiberfill, wool, wadding etc. for stuffing.
  • 12 mm (1/2") safety eyes or buttons, beads, felt etc.
  • Cotton embroidery floss in dark brown and pink.
  • Satin ribbon and matching thread.
  • Buttons.
  • Yarn needle, sewing needle, scissors, stitch marker.

Suggested yarn:

300 meters of DK weight
