Hello, I'm Maffers. I've always loved soft toys and this continued beyond childhood. I'd find myself in antiques fairs snooping around for unusual toys to take home, with Friedrich Nietzsche (an angry lamb) and Quentin Breadmunch (an erudite duck) being my most prized finds. I crochet, by and large, to bring imagined toys into existence. I share some of my creations with close friends but I tend to form a steadfast bond with my toys as soon as they're finished and as such I generally can't bring myself to part with them.View all patterns by designer (17) »

Deep sea divers have come a long way from their humble beginnings, where they were effectively men in barrels being submersed to recover things lost underwater, such as jewellery and treasure. Deep sea divers have since gone on to explore the bottom of the ocean and deep sea cricket is considered by many to be the national sport of Wales.
This written pattern will guide you through making your own adorable deep sea diver toy.
The finish toy comes out at approximately 23cm, or 9", tall.
