I make lots of things to sell at shows and fairs and also write patterns that are speedy makes for workshops.

Carl the fairground goldfish is perfect for all of this because he is a quick and easy pattern. He is the ideal CAL or workshop project for improvers and helps me to build-up interesting stock fast. There are instructions included so that you can bling with shiny scales and/or present in a really fun way as if he is a fairground prize.

Carl is an excellent seller at fairs and attracts a lot of attention to my stall. I am really happy for you to sell the objects you make from this pattern.


  • 15g dk yarn
  • 3.5 mm hook
  • toy fill
  • 1 pair 15mm safety eyes
