Beginner
You asked for it so here it is! The crochet version of cheezombie's knit Garden Slug has all the charm of the original with a crochet attitude. Except he prefers Foster's to Pabst.
The examples were made with various worsted weight yarns & US size F (3.75 mm) hook, & measure about 4 inches tall & 5 inches long, but almost any correct yarn/hook combination will work with this advanced beginner/intermediate pattern.
The body is worked in one piece, with the eyestalks & lips worked separately & sewn on. All you have to know how to do is single crochet, decrease, increase, work in a spiral, & basic sewing. Stitch descriptions & helpful links to tutorials are provided, & cheezombie is available for help via email as always.

Knitting Manifesto:
1. Projects should only take a few hours from start to finish.
2. Projects should have few or no seams to sew up at the end.
3. Projects should be made in one piece, or the absolute minimum of pieces necessary.
4. Projects should use the simplest stitches to get the desired effects as possible.
5. And above all, they should be quick and fun enough to knit over and over ...
