This is an intermediate level pattern in American Crochet Terms. It is a 7-page pdf download. It uses basic stitches and simple color changes. Sewing is required.
Worsted Weight Yarn (Aran, 10-ply, #4) in:
Color A (250 yards) (main)
Color B (50 yards) (points)
Color C (70 yards) (patch)
Color D (6 yards) (inner ear)
Black (10 yards)(feet and features)
Eye color (3 yards) (iris)
Small amounts of white and pink
Crochet Hooks in size:
4 Stitch Markers
For brindle dog, use an ombre with a high black/gray or brown/tan content. Pair this with tan points and a brown or black patch.
For a ticked dog, use an ombre with a high white content. Pair with white or tan points and a patch shade to match the ombre (ex. Rust/Red or Blue/Gray)
Solid colors will also work nicely.
