This adorable narwhal or unicorn of the sea can help keep track of baby's pacifier. Make from very soft acrylic or cotton yarn, this is a very easy beginner's pattern. It makes a unique baby shower gift. And it can be made in 2 -3 hours.
Once baby has been weaned from the pacifier, baby narwhal makes a wonderful soft teether and play toy. Your child will get a lot of use from this cute softie.
You will need to know basic crochet stitches, working in the round, increasing, decreasing, half double crochet and attaching pieces (only two here).
You will need:
3 ounces Red Hear Super Saver in shocking pink (or your choice of color)
3 ounces of Red Heart with Love in iced aqua (or other aqua, blue color)
1 ounce white or black yarn for facial features
OR Child-safety eyes for a child over 3 years old (optional)
Yarn needle for attaching
Soft polyester fiberfill
When baby no longer needs a pacifier, the chain can be used to attach to the car seat, stroller, diaper bag or removed altogether. And now baby will have a soft teether and nautical play pal.
I hope you enjoy :)

Hi there! My name is Heidi. I've been creating with my hands for as long as I can remember. Currently, I’m a stay-at-home Mom of four children who loves to crochet as a necessary outlet for my creativity and started a small craft business venture. I learned how to crochet quite a few years ago but the skill got forgotten in the crazy chaos of life. About 3 years ago, as a way to enjoy some of the simple joys in life, I re-discovered the incredible art of crochet and it is now my new passion. I love creating something out of such simple tools. My favorite is making toys. As my skills have developed, I realized how much I enjoyed creating my own patterns. My children started making requests for toys and I share my patterns here with you. If only my fingers could move as fast as the ideas come to me!
I hope you will join me in my yarn adventures as I continue to design unique toys and accessories for kids of ALL ages. Most of the patterns use basic crochet stitches and are crocheted in the round. All are offered as instant PDF downloads. Many progress photos are often included. I hope you are inspired to create something unique and fun! If you ever have any questions about any of my patterns, I will get back to you as soon as I can
Feel free to make and sell the finished toys you create from my patterns. You are the one creating them but please respect my copyright. Do not sell, alter, change, copy or share the pattern itself.
