The avocado is also known as the alligator pear, reflecting its shape and the leather-like appearance of its skin.

The fruit is a good source of potassium, vitamins, minerals and heart-healthy monounsaturated fat.

Avocados are now grown in most tropical and subtropical countries.

A unique and cute pattern! Makes a great toy item or decor item!

Size of finished item depends on crocheting tension, crochet hook size and type/thickness of yarn used.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • The whole fruit is 4 inches (10.2cm) longest and 2.5 inches (6.4cm) widest. The cut fruit is 3.5 inches (8.9cm) longest and 3 inches (7.6cm) widest.


  • 18 wpi fine/laceweight acrylic yarn
  • 2.2mm crochet hook
