I'm from Maryland, so I'm obsessed with crabs. Okay, I admit, they're not so cute in real life... but who can resist a crocheted crab?
I certainly can't resist! I designed this cutie to be an easy-level pattern, because I wanted people who are starting out crocheting to have the satisfaction of crocheting and finishing an entire adorable creation.
This little guy is smaller than some of my other animals, so you can easily finish him in a couple of hours... and let me tell you, the enjoyment of having this cutie around lasts forever!
If your adventurous, try crocheting this guy with a fingering weight yarn and a size C hook... you'll get a super-tiny critter (pictured)! That's the awesome thing about this pattern- switch up the yarn you're using, and you can get a totally different-sized animal!
Gauge isn't important on this project- as long as you're using a hook size that suits your yarn, you're good to go!
