This quick and easy versatile owl can be made in different ways from the same pattern - you can use different size hooks and thickness of wool/yarn to get different sizes and results.
In the pictures I have put the eyes different ways round (face up or face down) to give different effects, and the red owl is made using slightly thicker wool and a slightly bigger hook, so he is about an inch bigger than the blue one.
Also, the owls can be used as keyrings, for baby mobiles, bag or rucksack fobs, ornaments or hanging decorations.
My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was a child, now I am in my 50s I wondered if I could still remember? There are fantastic patterns out there on the internet and so I had a go and there is no stopping me now!
