Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You should already know the folowing crochet stitches: slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet. You should also know how to half double crochet 2 together (hdc 2 tog). Once the pieces are crocheted, you will use a yarn needle to sew it all together.

Pattern Description:

This little guy makes a great focal point for a blanket. You could also attach him to a card or use as a gift wrapping embellishment. The possibilities are endless!


3 sc and 3 rows= 1 inch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished measurements are 6 inches tall by 5 inches wide. You can change the size of your finished piece by simply going up or down a hook size or by using a heavier or lighter weight yarn.


  • You will need small amounts of grey, white, and black worsted weight yarn. You will also need a size H (5.00mm) crochet hook and a yarn needle.

You Will Also Need:

  • You have the option to use small buttons or beads for the eyes and nose if you wish. You can also just use a yarn needle and sew a small x for these features, which is what I have done.
