Cheerful, Creative, Crocheter and Collector of all things Colorful describes me to a C--er, I mean a T. My sweet, left-handed granny taught me (a righty) to crochet when I was but a youngster. My first project was a hideously long scarf for my dad. It seems I just didn't know when to stop--something my teachers told me in school, too! Although crochet and other craftiness have always been part of my life, I channeled my energy and creativity into teaching Jr. High and High School sciences for many years.
When I am not "yarning" (as described by my youngest), I treasure time with my family, friends, running, thrift store shopping, and learning new creative skills.

This easy layered crochet flower motif can be worked up quickly using your choice of yarn and hook to make colorful and varied embellishments for scarves, hats, hair clips, headbands, bags or anything else you can think of.
This flower is called Olivia's Flower because I made it especially for my sweet little niece. Now you can make it for a baby, little girl, or even a big girl in your life.
The flower pictured measures approximately 3 inches (7.5 cm) when worked in worsted weight yarn with a G (4.5mm) hook.
The pattern includes:
-6 pages of instructions: materials, making the flower, making the center circle and putting it all together
-A phototutorial of how to surface crochet, join the center circle to the flower motif, and complete a blind join to make your finished flower extra professional looking.
