8 hdc = 1 inch (2.5cm), 5 hdc rows = 1 inch (2.5cm)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 3 inches (7.5cm) wide by 6 inches (15cm) long

Materials:

  • You will need a Boye Steel Crochet hook size 1 (2.25mm)or Aluminum Crochet hook size B. This is a larger size hook than usually used with thread crochet and makes working with thread crochet easier for those who are not comfortable with thread.
  • It uses small amounts of crochet thread and many colors can be used so it is a great project to use up small amounts of crochet thread (14 yards being the most that is needed).
  • 10 yards peach (or choice of skin color)
  • 10 yards cream (or choice of shirt, & leggings color)
  • 14 yards spruce green (or choice of pants & hat color)
  • 15 yards Kerry green (or choice of jacket, shoes, clover & eye color)
  • 5 yards black (or choice of Pot of Gold, belt and hat band)
  • 4 yards gold (or choice of coins and buckles color)

You Will Also Need:

  • Small amount red embroidery floss (or choice of mouth and hair color)
  • Small amount of polyester fiberfill
  • Tapestry needle
  • Washable fabric glue.
