Get Ready for Spring!
Make a whole flock of little birds and eggs in all colors. This cute little bird is ready to welcome spring! He works up very quickly and is great for Easter baskets and spring decor. These would also make lovely handmade party favors especially for a bird-themed party. Why not gift someone with a filled egg pocket? The gift egg is a good way to become familiar with crocheting in the round if you haven't before and works up in very little time.
You can place candy, tiny trinkets, money and even a gift card into this cute little hollow egg! And they are Eco-friendly because they can be used again. Maybe an egg cozy too? Just leave the hole wide enough for your egg to fit. Try with a plastic egg. It is a perfect home for money, even a small doll or favorite action figure. It can become a pocket within a pocket. Add it as the golden prize of your Easter egg hunt!
This is the perfect little 1 to 2 hour project that is fun and so easy. There are so many ways this little egg can be used! Use any color you like. They are good all year round for gifts. Embellish it with any applique for a personalized gift.
Fill them with small treasures.
They make perfect little pockets
They are planet-friendly and reusable.
They can also be washed on the delicate cycle.
I'm sure you will think of new ways to use this gift egg! Add eyes or other decorative beads.
GREAT STASH BUSTER!
Make some for classmates, teachers, or at home to decorate for a memorable keepsake. Cute as Valentine presents too.
Without the wings, the birds become cute jellybeans - make them in all colors.
No gauge necessary. You can also make it larger or even smaller depending on the yarn and size hook you use.
Different size eggs would look great in a basket.
This would even make a cute small doll cradle.

Hi there! My name is Heidi. I've been creating with my hands for as long as I can remember. Currently, I’m a stay-at-home Mom of four children who loves to crochet as a necessary outlet for my creativity and started a small craft business venture. I learned how to crochet quite a few years ago but the skill got forgotten in the crazy chaos of life. About 3 years ago, as a way to enjoy some of the simple joys in life, I re-discovered the incredible art of crochet and it is now my new passion. I love creating something out of such simple tools. My favorite is making toys. As my skills have developed, I realized how much I enjoyed creating my own patterns. My children started making requests for toys and I share my patterns here with you. If only my fingers could move as fast as the ideas come to me!
I hope you will join me in my yarn adventures as I continue to design unique toys and accessories for kids of ALL ages. Most of the patterns use basic crochet stitches and are crocheted in the round. All are offered as instant PDF downloads. Many progress photos are often included. I hope you are inspired to create something unique and fun! If you ever have any questions about any of my patterns, I will get back to you as soon as I can
Feel free to make and sell the finished toys you create from my patterns. You are the one creating them but please respect my copyright. Do not sell, alter, change, copy or share the pattern itself.
