Pattern Description:

There are lots of crochet flowers out there, but none as cute and simple to make as this one! I looked all over the place for a pretty, but not to difficult 3D flower to make for my bookmarks, but I couldn't find one anywhere so I designed my own.

I originally made mine into bookmarks, but you can make yours into anything. So far I've used it to decorate bunting, cushions, pincushions, hair clips and bobbles and brooches. What will you make?

This pattern has two versions, the abbreviated version for the more experienced crocheter, and a full colour photo illustrated version, with step-by-step instructions for beginners.

If you need some of the hardware, like buttons or jumbo paperclips, contact me or visit my website to buy some.

Gauge:

I used a 3.5mm hook and 4ply (fingering) weight yarn to get a flower about 1inch (25mm) across.

If you use a bigger hook or thicker yarn, you'll get a bigger flower, and if you use a smaller hook or thinner yarn, you'll get a smaller flower!

  • needle and thread

You Will Also Need:

  • button
  • yarn
  • jumbo paperclip

5 meters of Fingering weight
