Pattern Description:

Now you can make this sweet baby Jesus ornament to celebrate His birth in a lowly manger.

With 2 young grandchildren I wanted to design a nativity set to help teach them what Christmas means in their household.

This would look wonderful on a Christmas tree, a wreath or on a wall display. There are no glass components for young hands to break so it is a great hands on teaching tool.

This is a quick and fun ornament to make.

Gauge:

10 hdc = 1 inch (2.5cm),
7 hdc rows = 1 inch (2.5cm)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

2 inches (2.5cm) wide by 4 1/2 inches (11.4cm) long

Materials:

Bedspread weight (size 10) crochet thread
5 yards peach (or choice of skin color)
12 yards white (or choice of swaddling clothes color)
13 yards gold (or choice of halos and baby accent color)
14 yards golden yellow (or choice of straw color)
Steel Crochet hook size 7 (1.65mm)

You Will Also Need:

Small amount red (or choice of mouth color) Could also use embroidery floss
Small amount of black (or choice of eye color) Could also use embroidery floss
Small amount of polyester fiberfill.
Tapestry needle
Washable fabric glue
