You will need a Boye Steel Crochet hook size 1 (2.25mm).This is a larger size hook than usually used with thread crochet and makes working with thread crochet easier for those who are not comfortable with thread.

Gauge:

8 hdc = 1 inch (2.5cm),
5 hdc rows = 1 inch (2.5cm)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 3 1/2 inches (9cm) wide by 7 inches (18cm) long

Materials:

  • bedspread weight cotton thread (size 10)
  • 13 yards peach (or choice of skin color)
  • 17 yards white (or choice of pinafore color)
  • 19 yards blue (or choice of dress and eye color)
  • 2 yards goldenrod or gold (or choice of "Unbirthday Party" Cup rim)
  • 3 yards black (or choice of shoe color)
  • Small amount red (or choice of mouth color) Could also use embroidery floss
  • 1 skein yellow, gold (or choice of hair color) embroidery floss
  • Boye Steel Crochet hook size 1 (2.25mm)

You Will Also Need:

  • Small amount of polyester fiberfill.
  • Tapestry needle
  • Washable fabric glue.
