Enjoy making this virgin Mary ornament to hang on a wall, as home decor, a tree or wreath or as a teaching tool for young children. Mary was an excellent example of how God can use each of us if we are willing.
I have grandchildren and I wanted to design a nativity set to help teach them the reason for the Christmas season. I also thought a decoration would be nice, that they could handle and not worry about breaking. So I made baby Jesus and this virgin Mary ornament.
She would look wonderful on a wall display for people who are out of shelf space.
This pattern is made using U.S. crochet abbreviations and would be good for an intermediate crocheter.
She has a gathered looking royal blue dress which is trimmed in golden yellow. Her gathered looking white headress is also trimmed in golden yellow. She has a gold halo on top of her headress.
This is a fun ornament to make.
Contact information is on pattern if you have any problems, feedback or just want to show me how cute it looks.

My mother taught me to make a chain stitch when I was in elementary school. I was hooked. Now, I enjoy making knit and crochet patterns that I love for others to learn these wonderful arts.
