I believe that when you knit or crochet something, you tell a story through those stitches. That's the reason that I dye yarn and spinning fibers inspired by our favorite stories, because I believe it adds depth to the story that my friends and customers tell through their projects.
I designed this pattern to expand on the story. I used yarn dyed in my "Violet Crawley" colorway to make - what else? - a teapot cozy. I imagine myself sitting down to Tea Time with the Dowager Countess. I'm not sure she would approve of my spiced chai tea latte, but I KNOW she would love this hand-crocheted teapot cozy inspired by her.

I've been crafting since I was a little girl. My mom used to knit and sew, and I picked things up along the way. I've been crafting obsessively since I became a mom, and I've been doing it as a business for the past two or three years.
I believe that we tell stories through our crafts, so I have a fiber arts line that is inspired by all of our favorite stories in books, movies and TV shows. You can find me there at StoriedYarns.Etsy.com.
