I am a crafter/artisan and have been honing my skills for the past 45+ years. My first love is crochet. I've taught myself many different crafts over the years, but my passion is crochet. I learned how to crochet from a real pro, my grandma, when I was 9 years old. I've been in the craft business for about 30 years. I owned a brick & mortar shop, but the overhead became too much for me so I decided to put my business online. I was the owner of Jewels Designs, Connie's PDF Patterns & Connie's Custom Crochet. I closed Jewels Designs a few years ago, I still have Facebook Fan pages for Connie's PDF Pattern & Connie's Custom Crochet. I currently have an Etsy Shop (Connie's Crochet Gifts and a Storenvy Shop (Connie's Graphs). I'm currently teaching a crochet course and have 2 Blogs. You can also find me on Pinterest & Linkedin, just google Connie's....
Check them out when you get a chance. Coming in 2015 I will be opening, Connie's By The Yard Trims.
I love helping and promoting my fellow artisan's and their beautiful work. I do a lot of this cross-promoting on my face book pages and blogs, so look me up any time.
I love creating new patterns and hope to bring them to you for another 45 years!
Thank You for allowing me to bring my love of crafts to you and to Craftsy!

This is one of my absolute favorite creations!!! I think I love this afghan so much because of the colors. The main color is the shades of orange that I used. I decided on the name of this blanket because it's Pantones Color of the year, 2012 and I love orange. I really enjoyed designing and making it and I'm sure you will too. It's not a hard stitch to do and all the rows are the same stitch, all you'll need to know (besides the stitch) is color changing. The best part is that you incorporate the end pieces into the Tasseled Edge, so there is no cutting or weaving in of loose threads. Saves a lot of time!!! I know you're going to enjoy making this afghan as much as I did designing and crocheting it!!! You'll receive complete instruction and a photo in your pattern. Happy Crocheting!!!
