My first experience with quilting began at the age of 10 when my grandmother showed me how to cut out fabric squares and piece them together in blocks using her treadle sewing machine. Since then, I have designed and made numerous quilts for family and friends. My designs have been published in magazines and catalogs such as Work Basket, Country Handcrafts, Annies Attic, and Herschners. I have also been doing needlework since the age of 10. Swedish Weaving (huck embroidery) has become a new favorite craft.
My company, M&L Designs, was launched as a mail order pattern business in 1999 focusing on traditional bed quilt patterns and crocheted quilt patterns. In 2004, we released our first set of one-patch/charm templates designed for use with a rotary cutter to use up fabric scraps. In late 2006, we added Baycreek Quilting Products and make acrylic quilt templates. These templates are laser cut and engraved. In 2006 we added Patterns by Jeaneau, a pattern line of wholecloth quilt patterns and quilt top marking service. We are currently working on more one-patch/charm shapes and a new line of applique quilt patterns as well as more wholecloth designs. Please contact me for more information.
