Pattern Description:
Snappy! is a jaunty pair of crocheted potholders, worked square and on the bias. The set offers lots of possibilities for customization; each stripe uses only a few yards of yarn. The coordinating pair makes a great hostess present!
Snappy! makes a great beginner project because the embroidery can be as plain or fancy as you want, and the end result looks much more complicated than it really is.
Any worsted weight cotton will work, although the size of the finished potholder may vary. Exact gauge is not important as long as you create a dense fabric -- no burned fingers!
The potholders are double layered for extra insulation.
Pattern includes instructions for working embroidered chain stitch with a crochet hook.
Gauge:
4 sts / 4 rows per inch in single crochet
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- about 7" square
Materials:
- for each potholder:
- Main Color - 1 ball Lily Sugar'n Cream (100% cotton, 125 yards / 2.5 oz)
- Border Color - 1/2 ball Lily Sugar'n Cream
- scraps of cotton yarn for embroidery

- US G / 4.0 mm crochet hook, blunt-tipped yarn or tapestry needle
