  • You will need to know the basic crochet stitches including chains, double, half treble and treble stitches.
  • You will also need to have some sewing skills to put the owl together and give him some personality!

Pattern Description:

These cute Christmas owl decorations are just irresistible! They are so quick and easy to make and can be adapted to any colour scheme or taste. Each of the three owls have a different stitch detail and colour but you can choose to make them all the same or give them your own twist.

A great starter project that includes a little sewing for the beak and eyes and then felt to back the owl so they are nice and neat for the tree. Equally great for experienced hands as they are a quick and easy - why not make them as Christmas gift tags for presents this year?

Each owl measures 8cm by 6cm with an extra hanging loop of 10cm but this can be made longer or shorter if you want to.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Each owl measures 8cm by 6cm with a 10cm hanging loop.


  • Each owl only needs about 15g of double knit yarn so great for using up odds and ends!

You Will Also Need:

  • 2.5mm crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • A small piece of felt (8x6cm) to back the owl with.
