Pattern Description:

I was in a valentine's challenge for thread crochet and I designed this doily which would look lovely at anytime of year.

These rose buds will never wither or die and are surrounded by a heart to share the love of budding roses with everyone in this thread crochet doily pattern. A fully bloomed rose accentuates the center.

The rose buds and center rose stand out from the doily to give a three-dimensional effect.

Gauge:

hdc = 1 inch (2.5cm), 5 hdc rows = 1 inch (2.5cm)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

10 inches (25.5cm) round diameter.

Materials:

size 10 crochet cotton, a background color (67 Yards), a main rose color (33 Yards) and contrasting rose color (27 Yards) and a stem color (4 Yards).

You Will Also Need:

You will need Boye Steel Crochet hook size 1 (2.25mm)
(I use a larger hook than is usual in thread crochet to try to encourage others to try thread.)
