Quick and fun to make !
Vary the use of colors and stripes for endless variations.
Ideal to use up remnants of worsted weight cotton and make ever-appreciated gifts for house warmings, parties ect...
Pure wool yarn would also work, just avoid any man made material which could melt when in contact with hot dishes...
Potholder is made in 2 sections: first make the striped front, then make a solid back in the same manner and join both sections with a pretty edging and hanging loop.
No more burned fingers AND a cheery colorfull kitchen !
Gauge is not crucial for this project.
Bonjour! I'm Sylvie Damey, french designer living in the french Alps. I learned to knit as a child. In 2004, the birth of my first daughter was the occasion for me to start publishing my own designs, learn to crochet, spin yarn...and even sew again. And, that's how ChezPlum started. My patterns have also been published in Knitty.com and the book "1000 hats" by Annie Modesitt.
