G-6 (4.25 mm) crochet hook
5 ounces (142 grams) worsted weight yarn
Blunt yarn needle

Bowls are worked with two strands of yarn held together. When selecting yarn for this project, keep in mind that cotton makes a soft and sturdy bowl, acrylic is a tad floppy alone, but works well when blended with other fibers, wool creates cozy texture, while blends such as alpaca, linen, or metallic fibers add unique depth and richness to your final project.

Final measurements for the four bowls as pictured, from largest to smallest (inside diameters given; petals add 1.25 inches/3.2 cm to each outside diameter):
