Skill Level:

little skill level requirement Novice

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Basic crochet skills: single crochet and double crochet.
  • Crab stitch border, but not required

Pattern Description:

You will love the softness of these cute washcloths! Make them for yourself or someone you love. Great for gifting for baby showers with a nice ribbon or make them with a bar of homemade soap for a friend.

Note: If you would like a tighter washcloth or dishcloth, feel free to go down in hook sizes until you find a gauge you like, and increase your beginning chain. The stitch pattern will work as long as your beg ch is an odd number.

Not crucial for this project. Your washcloth is your gauge swatch.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Approx. 8 inches square

  • Worsted weight cotton yarn, approx. 50 yards

You Will Also Need:

  • I (5.5 mm) hook
  • Scissors
  • Darning needle
