This is a great, beginner friendly afghan designed, with a very simple 4 row repeat (2 of the 4 rows are the same as well). Easily memorized & very fast to work up! Works up fast, looks lovely in a solid or striped version, & is a great stashbuster.
I wrote this afghan in 3 sizes so it is easy to make to suit your needs! The smallest size is perfect for a small baby blanket or a pet shelter blanket. Though this pattern is willingly given away for free, I do urge you to think about making at least the smallest size blanket for charity if you make one for yourself!
Stitch pattern is a multiple of 10 stitches plus 3 so afghan can be easily resized.
Thank you to my testers, GrandmaKnits, mamacitadedos, sandeeknit, agd509; to amgoth2000 for general cheerleading; and to my mom who named this afghan.
Feel free to make as many of these as you like for local craft fairs/auctions/raffles/bazaars, but please
do not sell finished items online. The pattern itself is not for sale. If making for charity, please let me know the name of the charity & include my contact info with the item (http://anastaciaknits.net). My name is Anastacia, and I am the scrap yarn/one skein queen. I buy my yarn mainly at yard sales/thrift stores, so I got used to making do with what I could find. So most of my patterns are designed to use up the odd skeins or leftovers in your life, and are geared towards beginner crocheters or those who just want a fast, easy, but still pretty item.
I'm a 30 something adult living in MA. I’m married, have a wonderful cat named Wedgie, & I work full time. I also teach knitting & crocheting at my local Michael's & squeeze in designing as many hours as I can a week.
I do love to hear from everyone, but please remember that I am busy, just like you, & will reply as soon as I can.
All of my patterns use USA terms & abbreviations.
I try to layout my patterns as simply as possible to save money for people printing at home. My patterns are as short as possible, usually with only one photo on the first page, which you can easily skip printing to save ink.
