Pattern Description:
Mabel was especially designed for The Great British Wool Club.
It was inspired by the Ohio Star quilt block. I've always loved this quilt block and, although not British, it evokes a sense of comfort and history for me.
The blanket is made with The Great British Wool Club yarn which is all pure wool blends and uses several different British sheep breeds,
You can also use The Natural Dye Studio's Dazzle 4 ply/sock which is spun to the same specification as the GBWC wool.
You will need
8 skeins of The Natural Dye Studio's Dazzle 4 ply/sock in total.
4 skeins of the background c0lour
4 skeins of different colours for the motf centre's.
3mm hook
The blanket measures 45 x 36 inches, however you can make it any size you wish by increasing or decreasing the number of motif blocks. The motifs measure approximately 4.5 inches square when blocked.
