Pattern Description:

Gertie the Owl is my own design. Adorable coffee cozy features HUGE owl eyes with button centers and a great tuffed brow. Keep your fingers from burning/freezing, and look stylish in the process. This is an original design, so you'll be one-of-a-kind. Fits large coffee cups (like that pictured) and also Frappuccino cups!

This pattern is made with worsted weight yarn. I used cotton yarn since its cheap and absorbent, but you can use wool or acrylic as well. Pattern includes full color photos, diagrams, and detailed instructions.

YES! You can make these and sell them! I would appreciate a credit/link for the pattern (so people know where to get the pattern to make the item themselves).

Gauge:

15 sc and 19 rows per 4" swatch, done with worsted cotton.

Materials:

  • "G" (4.5mm) Hook
  • worsted weight cotton yarn
  • 2 black buttons (1/2 or 3/4 inch)
  • small bits of felt
  • sewing needle and thread for buttons
  • craft glue (Original Tacky Glue)

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Sugar n' Cream, Bernat, or anything!

In my spare time I enjoy (duh!) knitting and ...
