This basket would be perfect for Easter or as general home decor with or without the handle. Post stitches used in the basketweave stitch give this basket loads of texture and the look of a wicker basket.
Materials Needed:
worsted weight yarn (#4) - a stiff acrylic works really well
250 yards of a main color for the basket and scraps for the bow and stitching
crochet hook K (6.5mm)
crochet hook H (5.0mm)
tapestry needle
stitch marker
thin wire (optional to add sturdiness to the handle)
