I started knitting at age 8 and learned all the rest as I went along - crocheting, sewing, tatting, latch hook, macrame, quilting, needlepoint, leather work, and woodworking. I became a professional seamstress and got into quilting big-time. These days, I mostly concentrate on knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, quilting, and woodworking. I began doing my own designing when I was laid up in a full leg cast. Since then, I have created over 200 of my own designs in various mediums, the patterns for which I sell everywhere and anywhere. I decided to sell my patterns individually, since I hate to have to buy an entire book to get the one or two that I want.
I do sell some hand-made items from my own designs, including woodworking items made by myself, at:
This pattern was featured in the March 2014 issue of Entwine magazine. Check it out at http://www.entwinemagazine.com/.
This absolutely gorgeous Egyptian sampler afghan is my crowning design achievement. It took me almost six months (on and off) to design and make. I spent another two weeks finalizing and checking the instructions. The instructions are completely written out, so you will not have to count holes and blocks from a diagram. The border designs are authentic ancient Egyptian patterns. It will add a touch of the exotic to your bed. It is designed for a double-size bed and covers the bed completely. It is made with worsted weight yarn. It takes quite a bit of time to make, but it is well worth the effort.
Finished afghan measures about 61" wide by 77" long without the fringe.
Be sure to check out the rest of the Egyptian designs in my shop, as well as my other original crochet and knit patterns. I add new listings all of the time.
If you like my designing style, I have all of my designs to date, including needlepoint and quilt patterns, available for sale in my Craftsy Store at http://www.craftsy.com/user/883016/pattern-store. I add new listings all of the time.
All of the designs which I sell are my own and are copyrighted. Painstaking attention has been paid to the instructions, to ensure that they are clear, accurate, and easy to understand and follow.
