After moving to Bermuda I needed something to keep me busy. I started by knitting and now I also crochet, quilt and sew.
A baby blanket that is well suited for colder months. Easy for a beginner to do.
Two families are expecting at the end of this year, only one family knows gender so far. I'm just a beginner, and this seems easy. Any thoughts on colors for either gender? One family is expecting their third, and the other, their fourth.
really want this pattern but says err not found
It's not letting me download this pattern, I would really like to try this one this weekend.

I think this is a lovely pattern! I can't wait to start this project. Thanks so much for sharing it.
You are welcome TexasBEv
is this actually a C2C squares?
Yes, it's basically c2c squares, made of 10 rows then decreasing. Stitched together like a quilt or a granny square blanket. Beautifully made though. Specially because she's added the satin trim around it.
Hi,Love this pattern. Looks like a quilt. Can you tell what size are the skeins of yarn. Don't want to come up short.
I used Caron Simply Soft Yarn which is 315 yards per each skein and I used 2 skeins for the darker pink and one each for the lighter pink and white.
Hi PrincessI will be giving this pattern a whirl in the next couple of weeks I will keep you posted on how I progress. This is such a classic design been wanting something smart for a friends baby. I will be making it in the following colours Taupe, Chocolate, Cream with a cream satin ribbon as an edge. Thank you for sharing your pattern with us.Cheryl
I would love to see it when you are finished.
Love this blanket and it looks easy....until I read the directions. I don't understand them at all. Row 2 might as well be written in another language...I just can't understand what to do.
I have a step by step tutorial for the pattern on this link http://www.princesstafadzwa.com/crochet-diagonal-stitch-tutorial/

Hi Princess, This looks like an easy blanket to crochet and fast going. I'm going to buy some yarn now to make it for a new grandson. Wish me luck. I'd like to send you a pic when its done but I don't know how. Off to Walmart I go! Liz
Hi Liz,Thanks for downloading the pattern. You can email me the picture firstname.lastname@example.org.Princess
This is beautiful! My best friend is going to be a mom for the first time at the age of 37. She is having a girl and I think she would love this. Is there anyway to embroider a name into the blanket? She was really close with her grandmother who passed away she is giving her a baby girl the middle name of her grandmother. I think it would be nice if the name was embroidered somewhere on the blanket like an angel watching over the baby girl. Any thoughts, ideas and/or suggestions?
If you want to stitch any letters on any crocheted item, do so very loosely as it would affect the stretch of the stitches of this particular blanket. My suggestion? If this were my gift, I would find a YouTube video on how to create crocheted letters and only make the initials of the baby's name and attach those. Less complicated and more elegant. More like a monogram, if that makes sense.
What is the stich for this blanket called?
Its the diagnonal stitch
It's a Corner to Corner blanket stitch. There are tutorials on YouTube if you search for that. These squares are made in 10 rows increasing, then 10 row decreasing. Then attached. Good luck!
I love this pattern, I am making it for my son, I think he is going to go nuts over this,
What a beautiful afghan. I just found out that I'm going to be Gramma again, this will make 9. I always make an afghan for the new arrival so this will be the pattern I'm going to do. Thanks
