Pattern Description:

So..there I was doing my new favourite Sunday morning thing, a tray, a coffee pot, a cup, a jug of milk and my latest read. Perfect for a lazy morning, well more usually afternoon. But because I like to take my time and drink slowly my coffee was cold half-way down my cup, I'd solved the second cup problem with a lovely coffee cosy from a fellow folksy seller,but all was still not quite perfect. Brainwave, the cup cosy was born.


18 trs to 10cm/4"

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 11cm across the bottom, 13cms across the top and 10cm in height, to fit a cup 6.5cm bottom diameter, 9.5 cm top diameter and 10cm high


  • About 20g/0.7oz, 50m DK yarn
  • One 4mm crochet hook and a blunt darning needle.

You Will Also Need:

  • One small button.

Suggested yarn:

55 yards of DK weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Pure wool
