Intermediate
This valance will cheer up any window with it's whimsical combination of daisies and checkerboard pattern.
This is a great pattern for the intermediate crocheter. The pattern uses dc2tog and dc3tog stitches to create the flower stem and bobbles for the flower centers - all are explained in the instructions. The valance is worked from the top down and a strip of material is sewn to the back to create the rod pocket. A graph is also provided for reference.
This pattern is written in U.S. terms.
Working in pattern:
13 blocks/spaces = 4-1/2"
13 rows = 4"

I have always loved crafting!
My mom and I learned to crochet together when I was 12 because there was a crocheted vest I wanted to make. We worked through it and figured it out together. I have been crocheting ever since. I started writing down patterns when making snowflakes, one of my favorite projects to make. I love working on any kind of thread crochet project such as connect as you go ...

My mom and I learned to crochet together when I was 12 because there was a crocheted vest I wanted to make. We worked through it and figured it out together. I have been crocheting ever since. I started writing down patterns when making snowflakes, one of my favorite projects to make. I love working on any kind of thread crochet project such as connect as you go motifs, filet crochet, etc. My other favorite crochet projects are working on my reversible designs.
I also enjoy cross stitch and knitting. Someday I hope to learn quilting and tatting.
