Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Read a crochet pattern is standard American terms
  • Be able to complete basic crochet stitches including: ch, sl st, sc, hdc, dc, tr and back post stitches

Pattern Description:

Ahhhh! The Breath of Heaven Blanket is rich with texture, interest, drape and color making this soft baby blanket perfect for getting creative and giving to someone you love! The pattern looks more complicated than it is, but most of the interest comes from slightly different stitch placements which are detailed in the pattern Make it with the suggested yarns shown in the sample or any colors of your choice!

This detailed 9 page pattern includes:
--materials list including yarns and quantities used in the sample blanket
--special notes section
--stitch abbreviations chart
--detailed photos with descriptions to help you through
--a table of colors and stitch counts for each round

Skill level:
Appropriate for an intermediate crocheter who has experience reading a pattern in standard American terms and is familiar with back post stitches.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Approximately 32inches (81cm) square


  • Yarn of your color choice--I used approximately six skeins of 4 different colors that are outlined in the pattern
  • Hook--G (4.25mm), and F (4mm) for the final round (optional)
